Researchers say that insulin can be taken orally by means of pills. Since it is found that insulin can be protected by
coating. Now the diabetics are taking insulin through injection or pump. Many diabetics have needle phobia,which can be eleminated by this new invention. People with type 1 diabetes rely on insulin injections.
About 700,000 Americans suffer from insulin-dependent diabetes, also known as type one diabetes. People who have insulin-dependent diabetes must take insulin, either by injecting themselves with a needle at least twice a day or by using a battery-operated "insulin pump." The pump is worn outside the body on a belt or in a pocket and delivers a steady supply of insulin through a tube that connects to a needle placed under the skin.
Let us hope that this invention should take shape early so that diabetics will get rid of injections.

Great information...I have learned that not only type 1 diabetics but now some type 2 diabetics are having to take shots so this should be of interest to all types. Have you heard about the new insulin nasal spray?
